La Belle et le Bad-Boy

In an attempt to not forget my French I've started to listen to french rap again...Cuz I don't read enuf English books I doubt I'd pick up a French one. " La Belle et le Bad-Boy" is an awesome song by Mc Solaar(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwEH6LYr4-U) .Made me wanna paint a sad looking hottie wiping tears out of her eyes...I also wanted draw in another style. Critiques are always welcome .Enjoy.

La Revue Negre

Soon after moving to France,Josephine Baker joined a group of Jazz musicians and dancers known as "La Revue Negre".They were famous for doing the opposite of the most popular type of dance at the time which was Ballet. They "broke" the form and broke-it down from the sounds of it lol. The painting was a bit bigger than the scanner which is why they don't have feet, I'll fix it when I get a hold of a better scanner. Critiques are welcome.Enjoy.

Getting more and more into Jean-Michel Basquiats' work after seeing a couple of documentaries. Didn't really get what his art was about before, haven't actually seen the movie "The Radiant Child "yet but I've seen a couple of interviews and I really want to. Critiques are always welcome.Enjoy.

Josephine

Been meaning to draw Josephine Baker for a while, ever since I saw her make an appearance in the begging of "Triplettes of Belleville ". I had had an image of her dancing in mind but when I Googled her I found a much more playful pose of her winking and shootin' smthn'. So here it is I'll for sure be drawing her more. Critiques are welcome. Enjoy.
