Monkey see, Monkey do

I wanted to try a new way of digital painting it was fun I learnt a lot-I'd change a lot but oh well.
This Zee a revisited version of a character I designed and posted last Summer. I'll be posting the full poses, expressions and turn arounds soon.

This is Tang.
I figured for world of monkeys -It'd be weird if they dogs. So I decided to make em' own pigs .For example, Chihuahua=teacup piglet. A Bulldog=Warthog and a Pitbull=Hyena as seen above haha-More designs soooooooon :)
Oh and finally The Macaque Monkeys. I was drawing and overheard my roommate Carlos watching Life-it was episode about monkeys and they were talking about how Japanese Macaque monkeys are hierarchical and only some of them can sit in the warm spring to warm up and the others have to stay out in the cold depending on who they're parents are ...Thought it was interesting-So yeah theses guys are bad news and no. You can't chill in their hot tub...Hopeyou like em' Critiques are appreciated .Enjoy!

A day outside...

*EDIT- Last night (June 7th 2011) Perin,Ben and I watched a thunderstorm and chilled it was pretty badass B-)

On Tuesday, Ben was moving out of his apartment and he had an old but HUGE t.v he was gonna get rid of...Sooo I decided to go pick it up for my place. I originally thought it'd be a breeze wheeling this thing along the side-walk across the block...I thought I was stronger,I thought T'v's were lighter-I learnt a lot that day. Ben will elaborate on the details in a short comic soon .
At least I got to spend the day outside ...Enjoy! And go outside...It's not gonna last forever :)

Love of my life...

Listened to Erykah Badu-Love of my life this morning and I was really feeling it today haha decided to make it my warmup sketch for today . Weather is frickin' beautiful right now-I got Q-tip,Mos Def, the Roots and Broken Bells on constant rotation :). Also, watch Rihanna's "Man Down" video directed by Anthony Mandler-Beautiful colours and staging.

Watercolor Summer

Haven't painted traditionally in a while -theres nothing like it ,sooo relaxing.These are some paintings of Big cats from the zoo.
Was gonna paint a bunch of kids in the ghetto playing classical instruments . This is the first a cholo playing Violin.
This was pretty fun-a gift for a friend birthday and below a character I sketched up while watching a documentary on N.E.R.D. Her name is Bonnie-She kills monsters -sorry for the lack of posts . I have been working a lot -there will be a lot more posts coming...a lot more frequently.

My friend and talented classmate Natan (http://natanmouradeaquino.blogspot.com/) collaborated on a layout project together. It's a shot test -using the research we've been doing on a specific time period . In earlier posts I put up some character designs and prop design. It's also the end of the year and It feels like when you play Zelda and you get to the final boss -you finally get to use all of the weapons you gathered throughout the game together and beat the shit out of Ganondorf. We finally got to use the stuff we've been hearing about all year. The song in the video is Woodkid's "Iron" the actual video is ridiculously EPIC look it up it's dope. Enjoy.
