Felt bad about not posting in forever(having too much fun to draw right now :D)-This is my unfinished entry for the "Marvel Tron" competition held by satellite soda. Home For the Holidays

Sooo, if you haven't noticed the last few posts I've been ravin' about going back home to Ghana for the Christmas break I assure you this is the last you'll hear of it lol. Recently got an e-mail from my mum who reminded me of the time I was running after her in an over sized t-shirt (after she told me not to) and fell of my face scraping the skin off of my nose...While it scabbed over my nickname became "Rudolf" . I was probably between the ages of 9 and 10 - I used a picture of our living room back home.I thought it would be appropriate for the season :). I should really be working instead of just randomly drawing haha .Oh! and everyone should listen to J.Cole's "Friday Night Lights" it's dope! Anyway, Happy Holidays. Critiques are welcome .Enjoy

Nightmare before Christmas

Went to see Tim Burton Yesterday -He's a lot less quirky than I thought, it was cool. Here are a couple of sketches I did of him while he was answering questions ( i dunno why he came out so chubby haha didn't notice till later) oh, and a sketch of my buddy Freddy who was there too (http://www.freddycarrasco.com/) dope artist. Style

These are sketches I did while looking at screen shots and costume design from "A single man " by Tom Ford, and a couple of episodes of Mad Men .Wasn't too caught up in the stories of either of them but I love the way people used to dress and behave back then-they all just seemed so put together .

So I'm 20 minutes through the " Runaway" video and I can't even sit still . Been a busy couple of weeks sorry for the lack of posts . Anyway , finished these today in between classes -An idea my little sister was talking to me about after seeing Rony Hotins posts (check the sidebar for his amazing art). I named the girl Colette cuz I daydreamed it being French and dark. Basically as the story goes on and she kills more and more people her hood/poncho gets stained with blood and she becomes known as "Red".Wolf is loosely based on my buddy Andre check out his stuff too!Critiques always welcome.Enjoy.

Hey Mama

Drawing I did of my mum(Neo Lerato Gariba) and I. She keeps guilting me about never finishing any paintings for her lol I always end up hating them half-way through! Anyway this is inspired by old pictures of her and I .Tried to make it look like a dream. I'm slowly trying to get used to using photoshop mostly using pictures along with drawings(the fabrics used on the dress and the blanket are SouthAfrican and Ghanaian :D) .Hopefully I'll start drawing more layouts and actually painting in photoshop. La Belle et le Bad-Boy

In an attempt to not forget my French I've started to listen to french rap again...Cuz I don't read enuf English books I doubt I'd pick up a French one. La Revue Negre

Soon after moving to France,Josephine Baker joined a group of Jazz musicians and dancers known as "La Revue Negre".They were famous for doing the opposite of the most popular type of dance at the time which was Ballet. They "broke" the form and broke-it down from the sounds of it lol. The painting was a bit bigger than the scanner which is why they don't have feet, I'll fix it when I get a hold of a better scanner.
